Fancy Text Generator

FlairText is a free browser tool that turns your text into Unicode text styles you can copy and paste wherever text is accepted. It changes Latin letters and digits; other characters are kept unchanged.

Tool

Type or paste text above to see it in every style.

What this generates

Type or paste text and every style below updates instantly. Each card shows exactly the text that will be copied. Styles include bold, italic, script, gothic (fraktur), double-struck, monospace, circled, squared, fullwidth, small caps, strikethrough, underline and dotted.

How to use it

  1. Type or paste your text in the box. Line breaks and spaces are kept.
  2. Find a style with the search box or the category buttons. Use the star to save favorites in this browser.
  3. Press Copy on a style, then paste it where you want it.

How it works

These are not fonts. Each letter is swapped for a different Unicode character that looks styled, so the result can be pasted as plain text. Anything a style cannot convert is left exactly as you typed it, never deleted.

Frequently asked questions

Are these fonts?

No. They are Unicode characters that look like styled letters. Because they are characters, not fonts, they can be copied and pasted as text.

Why do I see boxes (□)?

Your app or device does not have a font that includes that character. The copied text is unchanged; the box only shows where the glyph is missing.

Why didn’t my Arabic, Chinese or Hindi text change?

The styles here only convert Latin letters and digits. Other alphabets are kept exactly as typed, and the tool tells you how many characters were kept.

Does it keep my line breaks and spaces?

Yes. Line breaks, blank lines and runs of spaces are preserved in every style.

Is my text stored or sent anywhere?

Your text is converted in your browser and is not sent to a server. If usage statistics are ever collected, they will contain no text.

Will it work in the app I use?

It depends on whether that app’s fonts include the characters. We have not verified any specific app, so paste it there and check.

Are styled names accessible?

Not always. Screen readers can read styled characters poorly, so avoid styling information people need to read.
